Don't let SIP or Bainbridge give you any crap. I'm a grad of UC Davis, the world's best school for Enology. Chateau St Jean makes an excellent chardonnay, year in and year out.

Typically classic big buttery buxom California chardonnay. yummy.

Why am I hearing that song, "hello modder, hello fodder" right now?

(and indeed, one son looks like less of a happy camper than the other)

But enjoy the summer sun, and your sons in summer, in Madison.

Into wine a bit early? it's 2113 here as I imagine it is at your place.

And yes, we drink a lot of wine in the Sarge's house. Mostly Californian. I really did study some vit and enology at Davis. One of the benefits of my post Vietnam education. It beat chemical engineering, which is what my major was before the Army.

I see a young John Torturo in that third pic...Jake Gyllenthal in pic #2, and look! The Late Lawerence Tierney gesturing with his hands in the background of pic #1! And is that the back of Meg Ryan's head in pic #1? No orgasms please!

If you're inclined to compare the two sons, you really should instead compare me to John as photographers. Picture 2 looks distinctly different because it's my aesthetic as an artist, as the photographer. If I were photographing Chris, Chris would look different. John's artistic style as a photographer is different from mine. For one thing, I think, I'm hyper-aware of the positions of the people in the background.

Picture 2 looks a lot like every picture taken of me by my dad between the ages of 10 and... now.

Verification word: hoglab- we've got a lot of those where I grew up in Iowa, I'm sure.

Love the third picture.

Your sons are terribly cute.

Ron-

No orgasms please!

Ron is that what you tell all your girlfriends!?

And,btw-what the hell is wrong with Boones Farm's Strawberry Hill?

It's a classic plus you get a screw cap. [But who needs that?]

I think the son in the first pic looks like Ann, coloring aside...

Wickedpinto: There are two people in those pictures, so I'm not sure which one you're referring to at the beginning.

This is a very nice pic. You look like you're listening intently.

I liked the last one where John put you in black and white against the bright red polka dots. Why it made me think "Betty Boop" I don't know...maybe the red/white/black.

Did you guys get buzzed on the wine and sing the Audible Althouse theme song?

I find myself doing it sometimes when I'm gardening, or if I'm listening, I sing along but differently. I've jazzed up and rocked out the cover version a little bit... I go, "it's audible ALT-HOUSE!" ['it's audible' is all quiet, and then I belt out the ALT-HOUSE in two sharp bursts. And there's more. In my mind I even see the little dance I would do, if I was that type of person.] Anyway, I get a little crazy sometimes. Go a little bit nuts.
