About those Bloggingheads commenters.

Mickey's right about this:

IN THE COMMENTS: rcocean, the commenter whose comment Mickey printed out and taped to his monitor, comments here:
Just to beat a dead horse about BHTV commentators.

Currently, there are 111 comments on the Micky-Bob Diavlog "squishiness Edition". The comments were made by only 19 people. And of those 19, seven made 80 of the 111 comments.

You have one left commentator, (he boycotts Althouse) whose made almost 3,000 BHTV posts in the last 500 days!

And I think you've hit on one of the many reasons why I never bother to comment over there. They complain about the lack of female commenters and because I'm a fan of the site I want to help them out with the numbers. Inevitably, however, the comments already there make me think "why bother?" and I go away. I rarely even bother to read them anymore.

Someone had to expose what was going on at BHTV.

Its just sad it had to me.

haha, I watched that episode yesterday and totally didn't catch rcoceans name. I totally agreed with you on that one by the way!

On a side note, do bob and mickey remind anyone of Bert and Ernie?

UWS guy said...

....totally.

I would like to see a future episode recorded in the hosts' garages while they are underneath their Buicks doing an oil change.

Perhaps they could each be in their basements, building a bird house with their Cub Scout sons.

Even better, I'd like to see an episode in which each host is at a grocery store, pondering an eggplant.

RC, aren't you pleased to know that Kaus has your words posted on his monitor for inspiration?

LoL. Micky's a funny guy - thats why I watch him - well that and the inside Hollywood gossip.

I always see Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumley myself.

Ann, do you know who chooses the freeze frames? They're pretty funny much of the time.

I chose the beginning and end point (but did it based on sound). I think it also displays the midpoint, which I could try to control, but didn't.

The way the internet works, quantity wins over quality. If someone wants to spam, they will 'win' any debate. I'm glad that MK realizes this, but it's too bad it took this long.

I don't like spending the time to post more than once per thread. I rarely have more than one comments' worth to say.

Duh, I've always read it as Ra-CO-ce-an. Didn't recognize you at all, RC. Cool. And I think you've hit on one of the many reasons why I never bother to comment over there. Mickey Kaus has the perfect face for blogging.

Wright and Kaus remind me of The Odd Couple. Maybe that's why I like watching their diavlogs. I also enjoyed watching Jane Hamsher paired up with libertarians disillusioned with the GOP.

I've never commented on the BH.tv site. Even though I signed up when they debuted the newer edition earlier this year. But it's not like I'd bring a lot to the conversation.

Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumley are a good match. I especially like this image where Chumley (Mickey) is being lectured to by Tennessee Tuxedo (Bob).

They do seem like a married couple where the wife is a big liberal whiny, eyeroller who suffers through her husband's moderate/contrarian/anti-PC opinions.

Bob is married with I think two daughters, has a bijon/maltese type dog he calls Frazier and is a big fan of depressing, girly girl singer Regina Spektor.

He's basically a testosterone free zone. LOL.

Hard to believe Mickey is related to his idiot brother Stephen Kaus.

Mickey is simply discovering what was already well known, not merely regarding BHTV, but online communities generally.

Just the way it is. Nothing surprising, and certainly nothing that requires courage to point out.

RCO nailed it. You have to wade through a maypole dance of liberal gobbledeegook to find the relevant comments.

It's funny but the most hateful hyperbolic comments, and as far as I know the only ones asking/imploring/demanding that certain people be banned from participating in the dialogues, all come from the liberal/leftists.

There is one delusional radical there that has been trying to get Mickey banned for his 'xenophobic', 'racist' and 'paranoid' comments. This is the same deep thinker who boasts that he's protested a military recruitment center for being in too close proximity to a Petco. These people are not well.

I just heard my name mentioned by Bob on BHTV and noticed the link I posted above is going to the wrong URL.

Trying again:
