Meet the pro-Walker folk.

We were driving home from the Capitol protest march today, we noticed these kids, who yelled something pro-Scott Walker. Meade stopped the car and I did the video and interviewing.

St Patrick's Day comes early in Wisconsin?

It's nice to see some people who seem normal.

Thanks!

Love your coverage. Would love to get the thoughts of people outside Madison. Any suggestions on getting the read from other parts of the state?

Yeah, we may do that. It's spring break for me, and we can travel around the state sampling opinion (and still sleep in our own bed at night).

You hard efforts at proving they actually exist are much appreciated.

You know these are real Wisconsinites, and not bused-in Illinois goons, when they're wearing the green and walking around half-crocked at midday almost a week before St. Patrick's.

Thanks, Ann, for showing that no all students in Wisconsin are brain dead zombies being lead around by teachers who really care more about their socialist unions than they do the kids.

If I were a Wisconsin parent and one of those teachers who took kids out of school to protest did it without my permission, you would find me at the next school board meeting with demands for that teacher's dismissal and a letter of intent to sue the school board from my lawyer.

Maybe they are just 'Townies' sick of of their spoiled and pampered UW contemporaries

And they call New Year's Eve Amateur Night.

Troop, you, above all people, should know Saint Paddy's Day is a day for which some train all year round.

Hey, great! Long overdue for a road trip.

And if you "accidentally" take that cutoff South and end up someplace where it's warm and sunny and by the ocean, we won't say anything.

Maybe you can tie a Milwaukee area meet up to your travels around the state.

Lots of Walker fans here.

Well I never celebrate St. Patricks day. That is for phony Irishmen.

You see I am Irish all year round: drunk and stupid.

Those kids know how its done.

From an ad on Ann's site:

"I may run through women like a bull through barbed wire, but I'm smart enough to know this: you don't throw away
something like that."

Hey I wonder if that chick is gonna pull a high speed train?

Now that is something the government should fund. Just sayn'

My very-Irish friend hates St. Patrick's Day. At least the American version.

8% of every sale will be directed to suppleent Glenn's state salary.

Click early and often.

And you're an irritating, pointless internet troll, as we all know. How many comments will it take before you switch sides? 10?

Trooper York said...

Alex that is the stupidest thing you have ever said here.

You are much funnier when you are posting as Titus. Please go back to that pal. Thanks pal.

I would tend to agree; I've always thought the only difference between St Patrick's Day and New year's is that both the amateur and the professional drunks are out on St Patrick's Day. the pros have sense enough to stay home on New Year's.

PaulV said...

Lucid, your leftist goons may bomb power plants. Be prepared. Are you employed by Reynolds to get people to use his portal rather than our AA's? Are you stupid enough to think Japanese would order from Amazon? No free shipping to Japan.

The young people are smart enough to know that they will have to pay off all the debt that Obama and his buddies are piling on. I have been going to St. Practice Day for 11 months. I will do wake on Wednesday and stay home on the
17th. No one goes to the irish pub for St Patricks, it is too crowded.
Many St Patrick's festivals are celebrated on weekend before or after.

Clairvius Narcisse said...

why aren't these violent protesters being beaten and arrested?!?! the police are clearly not doing their job!!

Anonymous said...

See? It is possible, after all, for young people to obtain a sensible political position. Except for one pro-union dude, of course.

With a little more effort, more young people could be turned in this direction. How about some payoffs to young people who exhibit correct behavior? How about discounted University expenses for avowed Republicans? How about a lower tax rate for them, good for as long as they maintain the correct party affiliation? What if the police start ignoring laws against underage drinking and marijuana use for those who profess their support for the noble Leader of the State?

There is so much more that can be done! We just need to try some approaches that haven't been tried before.

I want to continue the procession of thanks to The Professor and Meade for doing this on-the-scene, immediate work.

It baffles my mind that local journalism isn't this down-n-dirty and guerilla. To get video, they need a van, an uplink and a big honking camera as if it were still 1982 or something.

You would think the local news would have less of a 'control-the-narrative' agenda, and would grab eyes and advertisers with a more steady steam of web-based news videos.

Nothing chaps me more than to visit a local newspapers' site for stories that have a visual component and see NO photos, but a ton of words describing (often poorly) what's happened or happening.

vbspurs said...

I looove how they (a) are buzzed to hell (b) are pumped they're going to be on Youtube (instead of demanding pixilation and to sign consent forms, as would be the liberal version) and finally (c) include a pro-union guy in their pro-Walker group.

Now those are real Wisconsinites!

I find skirts like that to be the optimal female ensemble for all ages, all times and places. You can swim, sleep, or party in that. And if we can just create a little tolerance and understanding in the workplace, it would be best there too. Depending on who is wearing it, it's cute, hot, or hilarious - all welcome impression during a man's day.

Alex said...

Hey look it seems like almost ALL the WI girls are fat. A bunch of heffers if you ask me. There are lots of hot lefty girls in CA/WA/TX.

Look at the anger oozing out of those right wingers. Their hate filled souls make it impossible for them to be happy. Bitter clingers.

Toad Trend said...

Notice the difference in priorities - these people like Walker and want to celebrate. They're happy.

Cut scene to the capitol. Deranged characters mumbling about bargaining and Hitler. Very unhappy, ugly, and downright ornery.

Which do you choose???

I was about to paste the whole thing: pure poetry, the tribute that little green tutu deserves.

I'm not sure how much these kids give a damn about politics if someone isn't filming them (I have a mind to think they didn't spend too much of the afternoon loitering around the Capitol grounds, unless they're hauling flasks), but it's a charming interlude of normalcy in the madness.

Rock on, erstwhile-Irish miniskirt brigadiers.

Rock on, bagoh20, Baudelaire of the co-ed Paddy Parade.

What a delightful change. They GET it.

OMG! They, like, totally get it! They are pro-Walker! They are so refreshing and better compared to the anti-Walker protesters you've filmed previous to this! Wooo Wooo! [Yes, St. Patrick's Day comes early in Wisconsin]
