This will always be my traditional Althouse Christmas image...

We see the cruel neutrality even then.

Merry Christmas, Althouse, Meade, and all the rest!

deborah-

Assuming she's the one on the right, I was thinking exactly the same thing. Pity the poor Santa, bombarded with questions, and forced to explain his methods and reasoning.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Merry Christmas!

This is a wonderful photograph. Growing up overseas, I never had this opportunity.

Santa looks much more Santa-ish than the current mall Santas.

How about that pathetic-looking Santa sitting next to Michelle Obama on Drudge. Who has more body mass - her or Santa?

Santa surely has a smaller posterior than she does.

Wow - I just got my first Christmas present left on my doorstep, and I swear, this is not a joke:

$120 somebody owed me.

A can of corn, a large can of maple and brown sugar pork & beans, and a box of dry spaghetti, and three DVDs of porn, including Heavy Handfulls - REAL BIG TITS!

Oh man, it's so nice to be loved,...

Merry Christmas, Y'all!!!

No, that's my sister Dell. I'm the 2 year old.

Merry Christmas to all.

It's sunny, warm, and snow-free in the Twin Cities. And by warm, I mean that it's nearly 40.

Rcommal, if you read this, drop me a line.

She's about to ask him if he thinks she's violating the separation of church and state.

Merry Christmas, Irene and iron.

In that photo, does Althouse's grandma in 1958 have a passing resemblance to Tony Curtis?

Is it a coincidence that Some Like it Hot was made 1958, released 1959?

Maybe if Curtis was a little older?

And Althouse, as Marilyn?

(Okay, at this point I'm just trying not to be banned from commenting.)

Since I was dumb enough to comment in the linked post (I feel a little better since I wasn't the only one), allow me to reiterate:

Merry Christmas to the fine folk at Meadhouse and all the Althousians, especially the hillbillies.

Merry Christmas to you, Professor, to Meade, and to your sons.

8 years of Althouse blog completed in 16 more days! Congratulations and thanks for the privilege of hanging among the best commenters in the world (Palladian must always lead)!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

If it's possible for me to remember, I think I was thinking: How exactly does that beard connect to that face... if at all?

Curious to scan the commenters from 2005. Some have stayed with the blog; many have dropped off or changed nics.

Merry Christmas.
