"David Brock is so outraged at Rush Limbaugh’s words of three weeks ago that he started organizing a protest — almost 3 years ago."

Writes a "Rush Limbaugh Show" spokesman:
It was planned ahead and activated at the first moment Brock could manipulate a media frenzy.... Media Matters for America stands for censorship, and nothing more than that....

They distribute target lists of advertiser phone numbers, email addresses, Facebook links and Twitter handles, and then they come out of nowhere, en masse, against selected advertisers in rotation. They barrage small business with threats until they cancel their advertising....

But Media Matters says you can’t talk to ["The Rush Limbaugh Show"] audience anymore. And when these businesses shrink, because they’ve lost access to half their customers; when they lay off employees or even shut down, whom will Media Matters blame? Probably not themselves.

It's a Big Picture thing....

This is what the Lefties are all about:

Destroy anyone who opposes them.

It's a war and it always has been ever since Uncle Saul published his Rules of Engagement.

And one reason Brock is "outraged" is that Rush is winning.

1 in 5 Americans listens to Conservative talk radio weekly and advertisers can't turn their backs on an audience that big.

PS This is how the homosexual rights crowd has destroyed anyone who has dared stand up to them in the last 40 years.

Brock is going beyond a mere protest.

When we check in on Rush in 6 months, he will still have 15M+ listeners and a long list of sponsors. Will Brock retract his little hit piece then?

On another note, Ms. Fluke popped up on Huff Po today with a robotic defense of Obamacare. She's the new Cindy Sheehan or something.

Is there anything more tedious than manufactured outrage?

Talk radio, and especially Limbaugh, have broken the stranglehold that Big Media had on the public discourse. That, of course is unforgivable. The interesting thing is that conservative media, like Fox News and Limbaugh and his imitators are like Obi Wan Kinobe. They will become more powerful that you can ever imagine. Because opposition proves them right.

And you heard it here first.

Ms Fluck has become the Demos' all-purpose poster girl.

Too bad they try to portray her as America's Sweetheart without having done anything to frame her image in the public' eye first.

She won't have enough minutes to churn out a book.

Limbaugh seems a lot smaller these days.

Seems intelligent to me. You should be prepared for opportunities.

It's interesting to me that people are shocked, shocked to learn that attack dogs are attack dogs.

Why do we keep pretending that politics and media are separate? Conservatives know they aren't, but keep trying to prove it to liberals who don't care.

Any advertiser dumb enough to walk away from an audience as large Limbaugh's is too dumb to survive in the long haul. Why any one would even take Brock and his astroturf seriously is beyond logic.

Bimbo alert: Can someone explain to me the difference between a bimbo and a slut?.....Limbaugh, Nugent, C.K., Maher: these men are all tangential to the candidates and their campaigns. However, the phrase bimbo alert was coined by the Clinton campaign itself. It's the very essence of sex shaming. Any woman who complained about the past predations of Bill Clinton automatically fell into the category of bimbo. This was done, in a calculated manner I believe, in order to inhibit them from coming forward. So far as I can recall, there were no feminist groups, nor for that matter any deep thinkers, who raised any objections to this term and the tactic that was implicit in it. Will any journalist ever ask Ms.Fluke what she thinks of the term "bimbo alert" and whether James Carville has any place on the public airwaves.....This Media Matters campaign does more to reveal the left's hypocrisy than Limbaugh's sexism.

Milwaukee is one of eight target cities for MM's new anti-Limbaugh ad. The station that carries Rush locally, WISN, has already said they won't run it. I haven't heard it on the air yet, so I'm not sure who will take the ad.Could be some interesting backlash from folks who are sick of the holier than thou perpetually offended censors.

Limbaugh has "judoed" this kerfuffle better than I ever thought possible.

To whom, Garage.

Advertisers who pulled out on Limbaugh are getting trashed in the market. I haven't heard anything about Limbaugh losing ratings.

You want to talk trash, talk numbers. Show me, homey.

Really?

This was said by a"Rush Limbaugh spokesperson." It is all allegations and no facts.

Funny. It reminds me of someone whose initials are"Rush Limbaugh."

He does? Alrighty then. I listen to his show quite frequently, and he hasnt changed one lick.

A lot of lefties forget that a anit-ad drive like this back in 2009 against Glenn Beck after Beck called Obama a racist helped push Beck into even higher standing with conservatives.

Limbaugh is the single biggest money-maker for just about every station in the Premiere/Clear Channel network. Many stations are going to follow the WISN lead and not even run the ad.

Yes, because nothing says "liberty" and "freedom" and "opposition to governmental intrusion" like standing up against rights.

Most of us aren't a "crowd", you know, and many of us don't regard opportunistic Democrats as our allies any more than we regard regulatory social cons as champions of our (or anyone's) liberty.

According to MMFA Rush is bleeding sponsors and stations. It's over.

Ha!
The proggs continually underestimate conservatives. The lefts willful inability to understand.
Priceless.

And we all know how that turned out.

I have noticed this week that Sleep-Number Beds and Carbonite have both stepped up their TV ads on Fox News. So they still want to reach that audience, if not the Limbaugh show particularly.

Rush isn't on XM (that I've found) but if he picked up Nutrisystem as a new sponsor and is having success with it himself, I join you garage in congratulating him and wish him continued success!

Perhaps they could get it on NPR?

I hate the jack booted thugs at Media Matters. Seems fitting that they are funded by a guy who fenced stolen goods for the NAZI's.
