A lof of the male actors these days look like pretty girls.

A lot of actresses look like pretty boys.

Allen Sherman would understand.

If you're not actually gay, collect gay credits by claiming to look gay. Even though you actually look like Audrey Hepburn. No relation to Katherine Hepburn who kind of looked gay. Work the word "gay" into a sentence; subversive inagoodway!

She could have just said, "I looked like Carly Fiorina."

...or Justin Bieber.

The actress, who turned 30 earlier this month, didn't wear a wig for her depiction of the poverty-stricken prostitute Fantine in director Tom Hooper's

She certainly could have commanded better prices from her johns if she had let her hair grow, that's for sure. Unless, she was going after the hint of mint kind of john.

I at first misread "Tom Hooper" as "Tobe Hooper" and was really hoping for a musical in which Jean Valjean & Javert go at each other with chainsaws. Not this time, I guess.

That would have been cool.

Hathaway was a devout Catholic and wanted to be a nun till at 15 she learn her older brother was gay, she became a nondenominational Christian.

So her gay brother also has a bad haircut and a big nose.

Did she just out her brother? ROFL!!! Even if not, what is the point of disclaiming he's gay? Oh that's right, it's politically tolerable in fantasy entertainment/theater douchebag land.

If her brother had been straight, she would not have looked like him. Right? Or did I go wrong somewhere?

Of course. It's all about White liberal narcissism.

Look at ME, ME, ME. I have a gay brother, I voted for St. Barack, I will adopt a black son (Africa/Haiti/New Orleans)I'm an ACTRESS!

Closer to gay/black/obama = higher status for Whitey.

Plus, what actress doesn't improve her Hollywood employment potential by being "gay friendly".

She looks like Liza with a "z."

Why does Anne Hathaway have to announce to the world her brother is gay, and why does she assume it's appropriate to compare her look to his - is it because he's male, or gay, or does being gay mean his being male is feminized?

What if he was a bodybuilder, lol?

....collect gay credits....

Isn't there a Capital One credit card that let's you rack up gay credits?

Well, maybe "rack up" isn't the right phrase......

She looks like my gay sister.

Oh, but YH, Fantine first sold her hair before she sold her body. It wasn't a fashion choice.

What pretty hair;
What pretty locks you got there
What luck you've got! It's worth a centime, my dear...
I'll take the lot!

@Erika,

Fantine first sold her hair before she sold her body.

So, you're saying that Victor Hugo stole pieces of the plot from O. Henry's Gift of the Magi?

Izzat right?

If they look the same then the gay brother should get the part because he couldn't possibly be a worse actor.
