3 Pinnochios to "Barbara Boxer’s claim that GOP budgets hampered Benghazi security."

"[I]t is almost as if Boxer is living in a time warp, repeating talking points from six months ago that barely acknowledge the fact that extensive investigations have found little evidence of her claim that 'there was not enough security because the budget was cut.' State Department officials repeatedly told Congress that a lack of funds was not an issue. Instead, security was hampered because of bureaucratic issues and management failures. In other words, given the internal failures, no amount of money for the State Department likely would have made a difference in this tragedy."

Writes WaPos Fact Checker Glenn Kessler.

You know when this would've been useful? Six months or so ago when the initial talking points were obviously lies.

It's time to swap Pinnochios for albatrosses.

Desperation has set in. Sadly, the pro-democrat hack media will jump on these stale talking points and hump until raw.

And yet, she'll keep saying it.

Instead, security was hampered because of bureaucratic issues and management failures.

Like it was a CIA and WH operation that State did not want to spend money on?

Note how Boxer asserted that House Republicans “sought to cut more than $450 million from President Obama’s budget request.” That means she is talking about the president’s proposed budget — which in any administration is often a pie-in-the-sky document.

She is both an idiot and a Dem Hack. Perhaps that is why she only got three noses.

Boxer: “The truth is — between fiscal years 2011 and 2012, the Republican-led House of Representatives sought to cut more than $450 million from President Obama’s budget request for embassy security funding.”

I would have awarded a fourth, because she was part of the Senate 0-97 vote against that same President's 2012 Budget.

That's Senator Boxer to you.

Ah, the erudition of senators from completely safe districts.

She is my Senator. I am so sorry for inflicting her on the country. She also said that Obama called the attack terrorism on day two, like Candy Crowley said. I sent her an email asking why Obama did not fire, or at least correct, Jay Carney and Susan Rice when they kept insisting the attack was a demonstration protesting the reprehensible video.

Pinocchios for two dems in a week? That's nearly the whole 2013 quota!

Susan Rice is in the news this morning as the nominee to become Obama's National Security Adviser.

What a joke. Liberal tax-and-spend sits there telling everyone Benghazi could not be defended cause of lack of money yet Obama takes mega million dollar vacations (and so does Boxer!) All on taxpayers dime.

Yes the party and play and live it up but no money for the most dangerous outpost!

How could it possibly be a surprise that Barbara Boxer can't keep up? LOL. It's not just Pinnichio's **nose** that's an apt metaphor for that blockhead.

The sad thing is the voters of California elect her. She's an idiot.

That's funny because the administration had money to help effect regime change in Libya.

I always found it a toss up as to who was the dumbest Senator; Boxer or Biden.

Does anyone think the truth matters to Senator Boxer?

Pinochio, damn it! Sheesh, at the beach, on my mobile, less than 1/4 cup if coffee so far. I am clearly not up to it today. Sigh.

@Drill SGT, I presume that Senator (she worked so hard for it) Boxer actually received 5 Pinnochios (out of 4 max) for truthfulness minus 2 Pinnochios for being a Democrat.

Um, lying is what Democrats do.

is she on a different scale?

Ann excellent sentence below.

Just fill in the blanks for pretty much any governmnent program and this sentence rings true from Education to Environment to Food Safety to everything.

"In other words, given the internal failures, no amount of money for the ______________ (fill in the blank with your favorite government bureaucracy) likely would have made a difference in this ________ (tragedy, outcome, results, disaster, investigation, etc.,etc.,etc....)

IIRC, about the same time as more security was denied, another embassy received a new fleet of electric vehicles.

If you are the executive in charge and feel your budget won't protect your employees, do you leave them in harm's way or pull them out?

I would pull the staff and make an example of those awful budget cuts. It's not a very good excuse even if it were true.

Next to Patrick Leahey, she is one of the dumbest human beings on earth that is breathing. This rancid little non-person is a stain on the good people of California. What a disgusting creature she is.

Truth. Which one's worse, Princess Di or Ma'am? Hard to say.

And the Affirmative Action Warning in Chief was saying the same shit today.

Shameless.

Methedras said, "This rancid little non-person is a stain on the good people of California." Got to face the fact that a whole bunch of rancid little non-people voted for her, and that we Californians have given her four terms in the Senate. The disease starts with the voters; Boxer and her ilk are merely doing their will, sad as it is to acknowledge that.

DiFi has occaisionally sounded reasonable and acted overtly patriotic. Boxer has never come close to that low standard.
