"I am genuinely intrigued at what appears to be a firing squad being put together aimed at Hillary Diane Rodham, otherwise known as Hillary Rodham Clinton."

"That's her e-mail address at clintonemail.com, HDR, Hillary Diane Rodham.  No mention, no relationship, no mention whatsoever of her husband, Bill.... At any rate, it's stunning, the New York Times, the Associated Press, the New Republic, Politico, it is unprecedented," said Rush Limbaugh, at the beginning of yesterday's show.
Now, one of the things that it could possibly mean... is they don't want her to begin with.  They resent her being forced on them. They resent the idea that the presidency is hers again, just like it was in 2008, just because.... What we're looking at here, ladies and gentlemen, is an actual War on a Woman...

Let's try to keep in perspective what has happened here, and going back some years.  First, they used a young, inexperienced, community organizing, chain-smoking man of color to kick Hillary to the curb in 2008.  In 2008 it was a coronation, remember?  In 2008 it was going to be hers to lose.  In 2008 it was the Democrat Party paying her back for all she had done, subordinating herself to her husband, subordinating herself to the party in order to maintain her husband and his political viability and keep him in office....

We're talking 2016, the next Democrat president... In the normal ebb and flow of events... [t]he media would be trying to sweep all of this stuff under the rug....  Just because her husband spent countless hours with a playboy pedophile flying all over the world, what difference does that make now?  Just because Hillary ruined innocent women's lives to protect her husband who sexually assaulted those women, what difference does that make now?...

I wouldn't be surprised if "HDR" was a Clinton inside joke, playing on "FDR".

The Rose law firm billing records established she was a piece of shit.

Democrats follow a narrative instead, though.

The ability to get a 10,000% return on the investment of $1,000 over a 10 month period as a part time novice commodity trader sets the record

Reading her assistants' email "responses" to the press about this is amusing and shocking. Who else but poltical people can get away with being so childish and snippy in their professional communications?

And hdr22. That is hilarious for the official Secretary of State account.

I give Rush credit for knowing how to turn a phrase--excellent use of HDR's "what difference does it make now?" phrase.

Yes.
Obama had pre-hidden his affiliation with Bill Ayers and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, gotten his school records locked down, hidden away his Illinois State Senator communications, and locked away his law firm communications.

So he was starting with a "fresher" slate.

MayBee said...

The funny thing is, I bet she was hiding her emails from the Obama administration as much as anyone else.

Obviously, the admin was still able to go after Petrayeus's private email. But they knew to start with Paula Broadbent.

MayBee said...

Human had her email address on the Clintonemail server.

So Obama's people couldn't start with her when snooping around Hillary.

All this will be black holed of course if she wins the nomination.

I am happy to see Rush is back in good form. He could always nail a Clinton with both hands tied behind his back.

The Obama Total Lies about everything all of the time kept him off balance. They were more that he could handle except around the edges.

MayBee said...

Curious George- exactly. Black holed like Obama's Khalidi tapes.

You know, there was a time Politico was calling on the LA Times to release those. When Hillary still had a chance for 2008. Now its like they don't exist, even though they are more relevant than ever.

Axelrod is also back big time inserting anti-Hillary thoughts with every interview. Poor Hillary is running against Obama all over again.

So she's not Human?

Who paid for the server at Clinton's residence? Was it Hillary personally or the Clinton Foundation? Did Hillary submit a reimbursement request to the State Department? If so, it would show that the obama administration knew and approved of this arrangement.

Meanwhile the Cherokee Drums are beating louder down along the Red River, or is that the Charles River now, where the pow wow of a certain Democrat Medicine Women is advancing to stringing bows and dipping media arrowheads into poison.

I don't believe Bill wants her to win. Alll this "third term" crap is just that. Bill doesn't want to share the spotlight...or be overtaken by a "historic" election of a woman. Hell, his library would be a wing on hers.

Obama, same deal. Enough history for a while.

With the juice running down my leg
Then I dealt with your boss, who’d never known about loss
And who always was too proud to beg

There’s a white diamond gloom on the dark side of this room
And a pathway that leads up to the stars
If you don’t believe there’s a price for this sweet paradise
Remind me to show you the scars

Marie Harf here is sooooo Obama administration.

She tries to say Clinton was in line with what other Secretaries of State have done, and John Kerry is the first SoS to use a State Department email. A reporter points out that Rice says she only used State Dept email for business. Harf says, "Well yeah but she said she rarely used email so what I said is true".

Remember, one doesn't have to fool all of the people some of the time or some of the people all of the time in attempting what Lincoln thought impossible, i.e., fooling "all of the people all of the time." to which Lincoln alluded. He was wrong. All one need do is "fool enough of the people enough of the time." Both the Clintons and Obama have long MORE than proved THAT maxim..

Rush is a highly under-rated analyst and original thinker, especially under-rated by his enemies. This is the best stuff out there on this topic.

Hillary has always been a 4 wheel drive bitch. Going back to the time she was fired from the Watergate Committee for lying.

Then there was the Travel Office scandal.

I predict a new printing of Gary Aldrich's "Unlimited Access."

It will be open season.

I think Hillary is going to get the same treatment she did in 2008. From Huffpo in April 2008, her complaint was:
"Moveon.org endorsed [Sen. Barack Obama] -- which is like a gusher of money that never seems to slow down. We have been less successful in caucuses because it brings out the activist base of the Democratic Party . MoveOn.org didn't even want
us to go into Afghanistan. I mean, that's what we're dealing with. And you know they turn out in great numbers. And they are very driven by their view of our positions, and it's primarily national security and foreign policy that drives them.
I don't agree with them. They know I don't agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me."

I think whoever gets the Democratic Party's nomination will be whomever George Soros picks.

It's hard to know which Clinton scandal will be the tipping point. That there will be another one to come along after this one is beyond any possible doubt. It's who she is, it's who she surrounds herself with, it's the entire Clinton, Inc.

When people are tired of this scandal, they might ask how much money the Clinton Foundation raised for Haitian relief, and how much of that money they spent.

Big Mike said...

@Michael, garage has a hatred for Walker that is positively psychotic. The chances that you'll find anything real in his frothing at the mouth posts is, well, you'd get better odds buying lottery tickets.

I listened to Rush on this yesterday and the "What difference does it make..." went on for while. He hit most if not all of the scandals. Very effective. As others have said, Rush is very insightful and many could learn from him. Sure, he makes some mistakes from time to time but talking live for 3 hours a day for thirty years creates ample opportunity for mistakes.

I started law school at 48 and most of my classmates were 22-25. That was a great experience for a lot of reasons but it was illuminating to be around a bunch of smarter young men and women and to find out how informed they really are (or aren't). One thing I discovered is that hardly anyone younger who badmouthed Rush had ever listened to him. Even once

Richard Dolan said...

It's odd that Rush's examples of stuff that you would normally expect the Dem-leaning media to "sweep under the rug" but supposedly aren't, are two things that they have swept under the rug: stories about Bill's flying around with a convicted pedophile and Hillary!'s attack on the victims of Bill's sexual assaults back in the '90s.

It's the soliciting money for the Foundation from foreign gov'ts, and now the email/secrecy flap, that's got their attention. Rush is surely right that the NYT, AP, TNR and Politico all want a Dem to win in 2016. Fronting these stories about Hillary! makes sense in that context: like Bill's bimbo eruptions in early '92, Hillary! has to be able to get past these stories in order to be a potential winner in in 2016. If she can't -- and there's only one way to find out -- the Dem team needs to move on quickly.

If I were a Democrat politician and not a fool (I know, I know; but work with me on this) I'd be planning my campaign for the presidential nomination right now. Hillary! had taken the air out of the campaign, but I just felt a fresh breeze.

The Godfather said...

So [sic] I took a look at who the Dems might pick if Hillary! drops out, and I focused on women governors. I found three:

Maggie Hassan, NH
Kate Brown, OR
Gina Raimondo, RI

They are all very new and Brown wasn't even elected to the governorship, but they are all younger than Hillary! (and better looking, based on their Wikipedia pictures, not that this is relevant).

So then I looked for Blacks, and the best hope is the FORMER governor of MA, Deval Patrick.

I discount Senators and Congresspersons, because if Democrats have to dig that low, they might as well go with Hillary!

I know the Republicans will blow this election, but the Democratic bench is going to make that hard to do.

I'm giddy with anticipation for the insightful and penetrating comments from Donna Brazille and Eleanor Clift explaining how all of this is a distraction from the inevitability of the formidable gravitas that is the campaign of Hillary! Clinton.

If Limbaugh is correct then why is no one serious running against HDR?

Zach said...

Actually, this is exactly when you'd expect to see a firing squad. A serious contender is going to have to get in the race in the next few months in order to have a shot at the first few primary states. So if you want to announce by August, you want Hillary to look vulnerable right about now.

Zach said...

Three to one the sources for this story are on Joe Biden's Christmas card list.

Oh, and as a flash card for stupid people:

All negative stories about presidential contenders until at least January are coming from their own party. This goes double for negative stories about Democrats that appear in the New York Times.
