The "transgenders" must be the perfect oppressed minority for the SJW to protect; vanishingly small, vaguely defined, and with no apparent identifying characteristics.

It strikes me that the cross-dressing transgenders already go to the restrooms of their choice, or wherever, without being noticed, and so do those who dress according to their sex and go to the restrooms marked to match.
If these people feel uncomfortable using restrooms and other facilities together with individuals with sexual characteristics matching their own, is it not preferable that 0.5%+/- of the population be so discomforted, rather than 99.5% being discomforted by being forced to share facilities with persons of the opposite sex?

Time for some nice rains to make the Iris heavy and knock them over.

Spent the morning tying up the peonies. Have never really liked them, because when they bloom they fall over. I've always assumed this was the result of a misguided breeding program to produce the biggest flower possible.

We really do need the rain.

Your irises are just beautiful.

Iris has some magnificent colors on tonight. Her dress designer is as fine an artist as they come.

Just watched a CNN interview of Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, D-HI, an Iraq War vet and Sanders supporter. Though a 'Trumpette', I was very impressed with her views on US foreign policy. She'd be a real asset to Sanders' ticket.

It is rumored that Bruce Jenner now wants to go back to being a man.
Will he then be considered a transgender female?

"Will he then be considered a transgender female?"

The logic is inescapable.

Red-tailed Hawk. I edited out the breakfast it was enjoying. Stricker's Pond, in Middleton.

The Albuquerque Morning Democrat's headline this morning sort of hints that it is Donald Trump's fault that his rally downtown last night got protested.
The article below never says so, but it is obvious that the "protesting" was organized. Not much of a riot - I think it would be difficult to get up a real riot on political grounds in Albuquerque - but it was rioting, and no call for the Journal to put 'riot' in quotes.

and I see the Daily Mail referring to our "large immigrant population." This is B.S. "Our Mexicans" largely belong here. Especially in Albuquerque, the Anglo population is almost all descended from arrivals during and after WWII. The "Mexicans" from people that came with de Onate and de Vargas 400+/- years ago. Plus the Indian ancestry, of course.

"Red-tailed Hawk."

That's a great picture.

and Bill Clinton was campaigning in Espanola while this was going on in Albuquerque. You have to be from New Mexico to know why this is funny. It is kind of like as if he went to campaign in a Wisconsin smalltown where they still speak Norwegian and is famous for "Olle and Helga" jokes.

The joy police has managed to kill off the Espanola lowriders and the Espanola one-liners in the name of this new-found political correctness, but we all (over 50s) remember them and miss them. Espanola used to have character, and we were fond of them.
