Madonna brainwashes A-Rod with Kabbalah.

She's making him believe they are soulmates. That's what his wife says, according to a friend. Wouldn't it be amazing if God spent his time — I know, God is beyond time, etc., but don't confuse me with that now — pairing up big celebrities?

Okay, Madonna with Sean Penn, that's funny. That's amusing. Now, I'm tired of that. I don't like Sean Penn as Mr. Madonna. Let's put her over here and have her screw Guy Ritchie up for a while. He's been annoying me. He needs some obstacles. Enough of that. That got boring. Wedding with kilts was good, but English estate, children's books, prissing around... blah! Put her with A-Rod now. That'll be hilarious.

Note: I don't really understand Kabbalah or the mind of God. I'm just guessing.

"...but don't confuse me with that now..." made me tip back in my chair a little and grin out loud.

I mean, aloud.

This can only be good for the BoSox. And in the end, what else matters?

Yes! And now that Trooper seems to have gone away, we can praise the Sox with no retaliation by that Yankee-lover.

No, this is great for the Yankees! So glamorous! So wrong!

I don't think it's God who whispers these things to Madonna.

I think it's the other one.

Chaos and confusion. Families disordered for yet another whim and fancy.

Good times had by all the media leeches and celebrity obsessed.

I don't know much about Kabbalah either, but I assume given the roots that the Ten Commandments are supposed to be still in effect as part of the whole enlightenment thing.

Clearly living in England has kept her too far away from all the great monuments that could have reminded her of the pertinent ones.

We do seem to have lost a few in the move back to Madison.

Ah, that explains that whole Henry Kessinger-Ann Margret thing...

Columnist Roger Friedman speculates that this is all great publicity for Madonna's tour and Ritchie's upcoming movie. Madonna and A-Rod, according to Friedman, have the same manager.

I just read in a gossip rag that she can't resist the "swarthy bad-boys", and will forever be chasing one after another. Let's send her after bin Laden... she can either capture him or convert him.

Madge, the Kaballah Yoga Cougar, breaking A-Rod in two with her vice-like thighs.

*laughs*

Madge always did go for the Latino guys. Camille Paglia remarked on Madge's habit of tooling around NY in her limo, looking for Latino guys to pick up, play with, and drop off. Now that she's back in NY, she's back to her old habits, it seems.

I wish God would talk to Madonna about her dark roots. Since she has more money than God you would they wouldn't be showing so often.

trooper's just one of many great commenters who've come and gone over the (relatively short) history of Althouse. He won't be the last. And he's got his own blog now, surely you know this?

I appreciate all the writing people do in the comments, but winning fans of your writing here and then moving on to write on your own blog is a perfectly good thing to want to do.

Hopefully, there will always be new people flowing into the comments, refreshing the conversation.

I can't shake the impression that this should somehow be merged with the Borat thread.
