I certainly have disagreements with Obama but this is the first time I've thought that he's kind of a jerk.

A seven run lead evaporates in the seventh.

Anybody up for late comebacks?

Joe the plumber.

J D Drew the miracle worker.

Wow.

A friend (anti-red sox fan) calls Big Papi's homer "el homerun de la verguenza" - Papi had not done anything during all series.

Too bad you had to have cable to see it.

What a comeback.

Is Althouse abandoning her loyal readers? Is she increasingly leaving us to our own devices, to come up with conversation on our own? What's up with all these coffeehouses, cafes, pubs, and whatnot? Where are the real posts?

We want to know what you are thinking, Professor. What do we care what our fellow readers have to say? If we cared about that, we'd read their blogs. But we're reading yours. It's your insight we crave. Feed us. We need substance. We cannot survive on coffee alone.

How about some eggs? They're incredible and edible!

Oh, yes, thank you. Eggs would be lovely. Might we have a picture of eggs, Professor?

MM,

How about some of those Oatmeal CC cookies you made yesterday?

blake said...

Yes! Where is our share of the cookies?

I don't want to punish you for making cookies, MM, but I just think it's better for everyone when we spread the cookies around.

Otherwise, you'd get all fat and stuff.

I can't believe the Rays lost tonight. If they lose on Saturday, I'm afraid the Sox will be back in the WS again. 8^(

For fall reds, nothing beats Kodacolor.

Lost in the digital age. Nature's own enhance colors option.

Support is dropping. Someone will rake up what the one tree doesn't want.

Funny yesterday how the sight of falling leaves made people think about the human life-cycle.

Those cookies are all long gone. I've got two teenagers. Sorry!

(Deeee-licious!)

Lawsuit against God thrown out because He couldn't be served process. As the plaintiff is quick to point out, that's silly: God is omnipresent, and even if he wasn't, the Oklahoma rules of civil procedure permit service by "by leaving copies thereof at the person's dwelling house or usual place of abode with some person then residing therein who is fifteen (15) years of age or older...." Surely there is a Catholic church in the district? Far better to dismiss on soverign immunity grounds, I would think.

Is plaintiff Chambers the Chambers of Marsh versus? Still making trouble, huh?

(1) To the avid gardener, autumn leaves look like beef on the hoof.

Or maybe it’s better to say “compost on the branch.”

That’s not to say we gardeners don’t pause every now and then to appreciate the beauty of a fine tree.

(2) Saw “Hud” the other night.

It was disturbing, though there wasn’t much in it about trees, thank God.

As a dog walker, I'll say that the problem of leaves is camouflage. You really have to be paying attention to canine location at all times.

If you get my drift.

Ann-

Are you using a filter or adjusting the settings of your camera?

MM-

Leaves don't bother me with the dogs so much, but it's dark when I walk them in the morning and the evening and its hard to find the target unless you're right there. I think I'm going to buy a headlight.

Rich, no but I did a little tweaking with iPhoto.
