"As the Ghost of a Gentleman, dead these 260 years and more, I should be happy to welcome Mrs. Bono to the Astral Plane..."

"... upon her Departure from her Earthly Frame, which she seems greatly intent upon preserving from Decay."

Sir Archy, our ghostly commenter from the 18th century, made an appearance here in the early hours of the morning — in the Cher post.

Sir Archy may need to enter rehab for his roachaphrenia chemical dependency addiction. Not that there is anything wrong with that.Everybody has a right to enjoy their own visions.

Most gentlemen have been dead for 260 years.

I love Sir Archy. I was afraid he'd been exorcised.

Maybe we need to say "Sir Archy" three times when he's been gone for a while.

How would one best describe Sir Archy's generous use of capitalization?

Is it incorrect, albeit fanciful, use of majuscules, or is it appropriate common usage of Olde English?
