Don't cranes migrate?

Well, thank you, ma'am.

I like you, too.

And your husband.

PS Nice pic. Most winter scenes have a barrenness to them, but you captured a glow there.

Those two won't be whooping in the NYT about how the recession ruined their relationship and how they found solace in meditation and yoga.

To my shame, I had to google that lyric, and me a Byrds fan. Maybe if the song was The Chestnut Crane....

Nice. They're shy, you did well.

Quite a number have been coming through their migration overnight spot on the northwest side of Mendota for the last week.

Saw a heron this week too.

I haven't seen photos of yours out of the International Crane Foundation [just north of Baraboo]. If you just do the walking tour and check out the birds on a nice spring day - it's a nice day trip.

Lost interest in politics. Have no other interests.

What is the point?

The GOP ticket (Santorum-Gingrich) is doing to be savagely defeated by Obama-Biden in 49 of 50 states. The only state GOP will win (narrowly) is South Carolina.

The GOP will lose PA and GA in a mind-blowing manner. The home state of candidates is going to be a joke. The irony is that they will be defeated by 20 points in VA (they current home state).

I have already bet $100 for Obama-Biden. I hope to cash in their victory. I will use that to support Paul Ryan in 2016.

Everybody is jumping the shark lately. Your Bloggingheads buddy Robert Wright has stepped on a hornet's nest by his usual above it all display of his half baked ideas used to dump slanders on Andrew Breitbart.

When will Slander Masters learn that attacking men with 20 years of good reputation among talented friends is suicide? The answer my friends is blowing in the cyberspace winds.

It is an ephemeral image for like the Sandhills of the hourglass so are the days of our lives.

Son:

Put down the crack pipe and step away.

GA went 50.1% for Bob freaking Dole in 1996. There is no way in hell they lose GA.

Gee, I wonder how much of the civility crowd - y'know, the ones that jumped to Sandra Fluke's defense - will come down on Wright?

Can we envision a number greater than zero?

Or less than?

They had a controlled short (2 weekend) crane season here this year. While I am all for hunting and such, I couldn't do it. I remember the first time I ever saw a flock pass by overhead, and it wasn't that long ago...25 years?

Anyway, their too big and easy to hit, kinda like having cow season.(this was irony).

I like watching cranes, I like listening to them. It brings a moment of joy to my usually outraged heart and spirit.

Now them damn herons, they fly they die.(again irony, I don't need the FW Service showing up)

It says a lot about how I perceive how our government acts when I have to actually spell out that I am not actually making threats, or boasts, or promises to commit a crime. Consider me the canary in the coal mine people. I was passed by a FBI background check to work in a mint once. I don't think I could now, too "extreme" in my views.

Beautiful birds. There is a Florida Sandhills standing on the patio not 20 feet from me right now.

Are you sure it's a Florida Sandhill? If it gets down on one knee it might be the rarely seen Ush Egret.

Why can't Wright savage anybody he wants?

It's the art of vituperation, the kind of battle you want in a peaceful world.

Learn to spot a triviality. Geez.

The country's heading for financial ruin, and the democrats was the biggest ruin possible so that nobody remembers what idealogy caused it.

The republicans are worried about civility.

They should differ from democrats in having ideas in their vituperation, is all.

Nobody was more effective than R. Emmett Tyrrell back before he became civil, or Mencken who never became civil.

This movie about Obama and Israel is quite damning.

Cranes!

Sandhill's I think.

My personal observation was that I saw one of the last flocks heading south on Dec.1. If this is a returning pair they are about three weeks early.
I hope this isn't an indication that we'll have a scorcher summer.

They are a clock to the seasons. When they leave, autumn is truly here. When they return spring has arrived.
