Lakeside — at last a sunny day.

At the Memorial Terrace, on the shore of Lake Mendota, young women took to the tabletops for sunning and slumbering:

I was home for a week and was there just to catch the Van Galder Bus to Chicago.

My sister said they are updating the Terrace and many peeps are pissed.

tis and thanks.

Meade is to be commended for controlling the situation.

The flanking instinct of the Sheltie is surpassed only by that of the Border Collie.

BTW, any guy who lays on a picnic table, in a public place, in a bathing suit, to catch some rays, is a homo.

Just in case anyone was wondering.

When I walk my Sheltie here, people from all over the world stop me and want to pet my "mini Lassie"( their words). Several times a week. I wonder if the Lassie people know how strong their brand still is.

Such a backlog of things to do in the garden this weekend. And it all has to get done tomorrow.

Sunny day?

Kindly pass it along, Madame.

Instapundit probably would have stepped 10 yards further east to snap that photo.

Cloudy again but still no rain.

I *think* it rained on the neighbors but it didn't really smell like rain. It *looked* like smoke from a fire because the clouds and fog obscuring the north end of the valley were brown. But it didn't smell like smoke. Fire scares me here.

Then it sprinkled just a tiny bit and everything blew away and the sun came out.

Those women are selfish and disgusting. They are getting ass matter / cooch matter on the tables where people eat. No manners.

I take the Van Galder bus once a year, around New Year's on a Saturday before I have to report to work. It's the one from Rockford to Chicago Union Station, to catch the Spamtrak. Nice service--saves my sister a lot of driving.

"Neighborhood"
Nice view of Van Hise Avenue. Sigma Phi on the left, and Dean Sellery's house on the right.
I'm nostalgic, from Walnut Creek, California.
Enjoy the summer!

Meade isn't the person in the picture, but if you're referring to the way the leash on the St. Bernard is held, then you're talking about Meade.
