"All lanes of traffic on the George Washington Bridge were blocked this afternoon by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s ego, traffic reports said..."

"First the polar vortex, and now this."

I missed the article where the New Yorker attacked the Obama administration for spending money to barricade open air war memorials in an effort to prevent veterans from visiting them. Could someone provide a link?

The next POTUS is Hillary! The next VPOTUS is Martin O'Malley.

Why? Because GOP is bankrupt. They have no ideas. They hate immigrants. They hate science. They hate women. Eventough Bob Gates' book, Duty, has bad things for Hillary, she will still win. Because GOP is like a dinosaur. Why does GOP want to be like a dinosaur? I just want to know. Can you please enlighten me? Please, I just do not understand GOP's fixation or obsession to become extinct.

After listening to the media's flood the zone coverage on this for the last 24 hours, I've come to realize; I don't care about their damn bridge.

The New Yorker should leave humor to professionals.

This type of hate speech from the left is exactly why it is important to demonstrate again and again the vast crimes against humanity by the left and the utter moral bankruptcy of these people.

Falsely accusing other people of hatred (or racism or bigotry) and ignorance (anti-science) is the first step in dehumanizing them. Violence against the targets of this propaganda can not be far behind.

I've been stuck on that bridge in traffic a hundred times and usually you get to the point of blockage and 2 goofy workers are shoveling cold patch into Volkswagen sized potholes during rush hour. What's the difference in what Christie's cronies did ? One's arrogant and malicious and one is just arrogant and indifferent.

None of this makes Chrystie look good. But the press looks far, far worse. When you consider their relentless pursuit of the truth in this case and counterbalance it against their torpor in the IRS, Fast & Furious, Ben Ghazi cases, the big losers are the media.

Borowitz writes that the bridge is blocked by Christie's "ego" five times in the space of four paragraphs (sentences really) and a title.

I found the article so obviously repetitive and one dimensional -- despite a veritable low-hanging fruit orchard of so many other Christie idiosyncrasies -- that the bad story overwhelmed any attempt at humor to such a degree that I was simply thinking to myself Borowitz must be an uninspired writer, a humorist want-to-be.

Anything that stops Christie from being the R nominee is a good thing. AP is correct in his assessment of the GOP. His err is that he does not ascribe the same lack of decorum, skill, and intellect to the Dem. party.

If every politician died a slow horrible death today, I would celebrate.

I did notice that Christie apologized for things that members of his team did. I've yet to hear Obama apologize for the IRS, the Department of Justice, the EPA, Bengazie, etc.

I'm not a fan of Christie, but at least he seems to accept responsibility for the bad things that happen in his administration, unlike some people we all know.

Via InstaPundit, there's this little tidbit:

The Big Three networks, in a frenzy over New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's traffic headache dubbed “Bridgegate,” have devoted a whopping 34 minutes and 28 seconds of coverage to the affair in just the last 24 hours.

By comparison, that's 17 times the two minutes, eight seconds devoted to President Obama's IRS scandal in the last six months, according to an analysis by the Media Research Center.

“While routinely burying new stories on the IRS scandal, the media practically fell over themselves to start taking shots at the potential 2016 Republican presidential nominee,” said the conservative media watchdog.
