"I'm not gay," said Aaron Rodgers. "I really, really like women. That's all I can say about that."

"There's always going to be silly stuff out there in the media... You can't worry too much about it. I don't. There should be 'professional is professional and personal is personal'... That's the way I'm going to keep it."

Thanks for the update. Gay, straight, bi- or asexual, Aaron Rodgers is much loved.

Who cares? I mean, besides gay activists. Man, are they obsessed with other people's sex lives. Ed Meese was an amateur compared to these moralizing busybodies.

What did you say about taking the "penis out of your eye", or something to that effect? That sliver which is clearly omnipresent in yours.

I deleted this above because I didn't close the quotes part out on my link.

"I'm not gay"

OK, makes sense.

"I really, really like women"

WTF, who likes women? They're psychopaths.

Is it too much to hope that every one of these denials wasn't laced with homophobia?

Aaron Rodgers: "I'm not gay."

AA: "Gay, straight, bi- or asexual, Aaron Rodgers is much loved."

"is"

Shouldn't that read: 'Straight, Aaron Rodgers IS much loved, and even if gay, bi- or asexual, I believe would be as much loved.'??

"I really, really like women. That's all I can say about that. Because if I go on about how I prefer vaginas to assholes, the assholes at GLADD will freak out again"

Anyone can claim to like women. We won't know for sure until he submits to a distaff double-check.

Why are reporters confident that they can ask people for such personal information? If faced with such inquiries it would be appropriate for people in any walk of life to attack the reporter for a lack of professionalism.

Everybody can buy zeroes and ones by the barrel-full. People who trade in ink should be put on the defense when they over-step proper bounds.

Milwaukee gay community has been saying he was gay for years. Maybe they just needed a starting QB for their team.

I feel for the guy. Why no just punch the reporter in the eye ?

Whoever he is. NOt sure I've ever heard of him, and I'm not starting now.

Yes, It would be good to see more of that.

I've heard that Aaron Rogers likes tight ends and has been making passes at men for years.

who cares.

He beat the Bears

And for that, while I respect his abilities, now I hate him.

Aaron Rodgers gay? Aaron Rodgers straight? Aaron Rodgers bigender?

Here's a quarter, call someone who cares.

Somebody seems to care, but it sure isn't me. Leave the guy alone.

Are you even allowed to call someone an asshole any more without being accused of homophobia?

Thread winner.

He was on his weekly radio show, so there was no blindside hit. He obviously wanted to address it.

That said, I never thought Aaron Rodgers was gay, but he does make me wonder a little bit when he's sporting the creeper mustache.

I always respond to the question "Are you gay?" with "Why? Are you looking for a date?" It shuts the homophobic busy bodies (those that would ask this question) right the fuck up. Normal people don't care who you screw as long as it ain't them.

I wondered who he was, as I've never heard of him. When I found he was a football player, my ignorance was immediately explained.

There's something vicious about the pro-gay lobby going after someone like this.

Drago (1/1/14, 8:04PM), you are exactly right.

In fact, the thread should have been closed down after your comment, as nothing more useful can be said.

Birkel said...

In future threads I will assume every topic is football-related to explain Robert Cook's ignorance.

His statement that he "really, really likes women" proves his gayness. Straight men are compelled by women. Compelled. Like has nothing to do with it.

How does he feel about bobsledders ... maybe we should give him and Lolo Jones a nudge.

I had a comment deleted from this blog when I floated the highly plausible speculation that Herb Kohl might be gay. But I guess trafficking in speculation about the sexual orientation of professional athletes is different.

Maybe Aaron Rodgers should donate a chunk of money to OFA. That'll keep it out of the news.
