Exploiting the Boehner/boner pun...

... is that a good idea?

That ad for J.D. Winteregg cost him his teaching job at a Baptist university.

I agree. He should be banned for life. There is no place for Hating Golf in our society.

Good idea? Hell yes! Not only was the ad amusing it was 100% factually true. I'm going to give him a contribution.

Great ad!

I tried to send him money but his web site isn't very good.

With a name like Winteregg, he should be careful about making puns out of surnames.

A boner and a dick, side by side.

Baptists have no sense of humor.

Did you hear about the Baptist who gave up sexual intercourse because it might lead to dancing?

My Presbyterian husband loves to call him Boner.

Sorry he lost his job and all.

Boehner is a German name, and its correct pronunciation is something close to "burner." Not "boner" at all.

Too obvious. Can't anyone play this game?

Of course, Cracker Emcee was pretty obvious too. Persiflage mahal is a little wittier. Thank God Inga split because Dinga would have been a third-grade quality pun and someone has probably used it (Ed-whatshisface?) already.

Great parody. We need someone with a sense of humor in Congress and the courage to say what he really feels instead of earnest strivers who want a cushy job with great benefits and want to "grow" in the approval of the Wa Po.

It's a funny ad and would have been great if made by a 3rd party (electile dysfunction, gotta remember that one), but not really appropriate for the candidate. Especially as a primary ad.

Yeah, tell me about it. I have a last name I've heard mispronounced as a joke. Does it make it a worse joke or a better joke? It makes it more aggravating and irksome! It's like making a joke out of a misquoted quote like "I can see Russia from my house." You're annoyed to be made fun of and you also have to correct that damned mistake again. For the joker, that's fun (in a childish way).

Is that the image Winteregg wants -- childish joker?

Childish joker-another strategy that works for Democrats but not for people.
