"It is little surprise the Fuhrer later banned the absurdly camp woodland snap, calling it ‘beneath one’s dignity.'"

For the "men in shorts" files — newly discovered photographs of Hitler in lederhosen.

If even Hitler can accept the glory of wearing shorts, surely the rest of us can as well! If shorts aren't too good for Hitler, then they're not too good for us.

On the Anti-Shorts side:
Ann
Adolf

Another reason for me to choose my comfort over avoiding Ann's discomfort.

As a son of German immigrants, I find this mocking of our rich culture disturbing.

Hmmmmm. Totalitarian instincts.

Headless, add that snooty woman (who looks like a man, or maybe Brian's mother in Life of Brian) from New York to the anti shorts wearin' club

Ann, I overheard my teen daughter and her friend talking about boys wearing shorts and they both agreed it wasn't a good look. The friend commented that men's knees "creeped her out."

Sorry, I saw these pics years ago. Nothing new.

Yeah Ann just Godwined herself.

Admit I'm with Hitler too, but his legs weren't that bad.

Wait until she sees a penis.

@Althouse, you don't even like shorts on men who are wearing long socks?

It's not Hitler's legs. In the first picture his legs actually look Abercrombie quality.

Instead, the embarrassment for Hitler is that he seems to have a swollen, asexual pelvic region, making the short pants look like "mom-lederhosen" with a huge gaping camel toe (second photo).

Those terrible alpine fashions must have really embarrassed the Little Corporeal. Maybe this explains his desire to exterminate Jews, Slavs, and Russians, which finally morphed into his desire to exterminate the Germans who invented a style that embarrassed him.

Photographs of Hitler in shorts are nothing new. They've been in circulation for 60+ years. Most every biography of Hitler has at least one photo of him in shorts.

Oh, Hitler had many reasons to hate men in shorts.

I saw those pics about 15 years ago. Yet another fake headline.

It was springtime for Hitler.

Lederhosen are often confused with Liederhosen, which are pants one wears to sing Schubert.

Don't show what a rube you are. Know the difference.

I'm hoping that the new Net Neutrality regulations will help spare me from seeing things that I can't unsee. We need stricter regulation on the internet yesterday.

Sushi verification? I can't hack it.

Ah, the glories of the true-born English knee.

Fuhrer is spelled Führer or, if necessary, Fuehrer. To get the umlaut, you need to activate your "US-international keyboard" in Windows.
